Hazel eyes POSTED AT 01:23 AM Secretary work with a horrible boss is no fun, man. No fun at all. I can't wait to find a day to start making fried seaweed and for this weekend's trip. :: A couple of weeks back, a promo pack of contact lens solution came with a pair of free Freshlook coloured contacts in pure hazel. A few shots taken before I left this morning.
Yea, sorry for the camwhorish pictures. It's a one-off thing that you see me not with my usual dark black eyes! Haha. I like how it looks quite natural on me, though I think the "brown" ones would look more natural on me? Not that I have dyed hair, fair skin, made up face and all. Haha. At least they didn't give me colours like "amethyst" and "honey", or those that make your eyes awfully huge. I remembered there was this girl that showed up in school one day with purple eyes. Like OH MY GOSH! ahahaha. Ahh...the prefectorial board days.
EEK! Scary picture. hahaha. But close up, it actually looks quite brown? While most reviews online only sang praises for this brand, the contact lens were actually too dry for my liking. I almost used up half a bottle of eye drops and I still couldn't get the lens off my eyes!! Freaky yet funny in a weird way. I guess I'm just very used to my usual Bausch and Lombs. Apart from the dry part, I think these lens are awesome. It costs less than rm10 per pair of dailies. I may just get some if I'm feeling adventurous in future. But for now...wheee I'm Asian with very brown skin, black hair and black eyes. Wheee!!!! Good night world!! 10 comments

White lies POSTED AT 02:10 AM We all have our white lie moments, don't we? Where we tweak the truth a little to get out of trouble, to skip school, in our resume/cv to nail that dream job, to get that scholarship, to avoid being laughed at, to be looked up upon, to confuse others, to wow others, to avoid judgemental comments. White lies. I usually say I'm not lying, I'm just not telling the entire truth having skipped a couple of points. Though technically, it is somewhat right. It's not lying. Haha. :: The randomest comment at a store this weekend, while trying on jeans "Eep! You're so tall!" Why, thank you. I was kinda expecting "skinny", in a negative connotation. I somewhat felt awesome having heard that. Cos the truth is, I'm really nowhere tall at 160cm. In fact, the boyfriend calls me short. Only because he spent 4 years in Australia with tall ex-girlfriends. Haha. And oh, "tall" is definitely better than "skinny". It's 2am. I'm supposed to be asleep. For the past few very rainy days, I've had 4-6 hours sleep a day, in my quest to beat my nocturnal ways. I don't think it's working though. All I want to do past midnight is watch Skins, How I Met Your Mother, blog and play Spore. At the tribal stage, my creatures were so barbaric they started attacking wild animals that I asked them to socialise with! 0_o I reached the space exploration stage a few days back, but I'm having difficulty with that stage. Uber complicated. Oh well, at least I'm going to KL (perhaps) and Camerons again this weekend. Waking up at 5 am should help get my body clock back to normal, no? Skins POSTED AT 02:35 AM Current obsession: Skins. A British college series. Awesomeness. If you thought Gossip Girl was scandalous (haha! inside joke), wait till you watch this series. Definitely 18 SX. But it hits all the right spots with the right real-life issues, like drugs, sex and religion. I like! Favourite character has to be the deranged yet really bubbly Cassie. :: I emptied out my boxes and stuff in my room. The shelves are totally empty now. Bye bye toys. I needed place for books and cds that I brought back from KL. So, I gathered all the toys that weren't my favourites, packed them up in a humongous box, and went to the orphanage. While it makes me sad to part with the toys, which were mostly birthday and Christmas presents since I was a toddler, it's a whole euphoric feeling to see kids crowding you and giving their best smiles (before going back to their tv show). The home had a little dog which was uber cute. Well, of course at first I got terrified cos it stuck out its tongue at one corner and stared at me dead on when I was scratching its tummy and head. Like emmm...uh oh, it's not moving. What happened? It can't be dead, but it sure looked like it is. :S And then it sprung up and started licking my toes. 0_o Turns out it's a dog that likes playing dead. That's a first. Hahaha. I got licked all over and got followed around. Crazy dog. Wheeee... Yeah, I absolutely know what I like doing. Being with animals and kids. Maybe I should go into environmental education.
I found tonnes of old craft work, letters, photos, cards, projects and such. One of which was this wire guitarist, which I made in Standard 5. I'd have been 11 then. I'm amazed I even got the hand positions right. HAHAHAHA. I seemed to have lost my creativity spark, huh? Sad. I'll get scans/pictures of some of the old photos are found. Apparently, I looked 6 during my 10th birthday. Le sigh. Did you know as we hit puberty, some of our neurons lose connections and that's how we lose some of our talents, skills and interests that we had when we were kids? Like one can be uber talented as a musician when he/she was a kid, but then totally lose interest and "talent" as he/she becomes a teen. I seemed to be the curious kid who turned into a boring geek who didn't excel in anything. HAHA. :: The minimum wage for part time workers aged 20 and above in Queensland is $13.80 per hour, and $552 per week full time. And most jobs even pay for transportation expenses. Wow! That's definitely higher than what some people I know are getting elsewhere. Guess I can pay my rent after all if I work 20 hours a week during school weeks. Or maybe tutor. Haha. And hopefully keep some for trips. [Source: http://www.wageline.qld.gov.au/awardsonline/qmw.html] Watching: Skins Season 1 |

Camerons 1 - December 08 POSTED AT 03:43 PM And it's already 2009. Has it been a year already? *rubs eyes* I had a blast with EuQueen, OJ and Deng Loy for New Year's Eve just chilling, drinking long island iced tea, playing endless rounds of cho tai tee (and not win a single round!!), having OJ win the last game of the year, countingdown with a blue-lit plastic shot glass, party pack and confetti, tying shiny ribbons round our arms, and stealthily placing confetti bits on EuQueen's hair. I'm so glad I wasn't at one of those sticky sweaty rowdy parties. Signs of aging, eh? Hahaha. While everyone else was at the Lagoon beach party (I think organised by Sincero or Rum Jungle), I was absolutely contented spending my night at a cafe. The very first meal of 2009 was roti anaconda (with maggi/indomee goreng and murtabak)! It's a really good way to start the year! That night ended with farewells and hugs as it was also the last time I'll be seeing them for a long time to come. Gonna miss the holiday outings with them. But I'm gonna miss EuQueen the most. Oh well, hopefully I'll see her in July, right? :: These are some of the Cameron Highlands pictures from my trip a few weekends back. Better put them up before my next trip.

New Year's Eve POSTED AT 06:24 PM What I've been up to lately
SPORE!! My creature, Wheeee, has just made its evolutionary transition to the tribal stage. AHAHHAA. I thought it was gonna die at the microbe-cell stage. =p That's a jewel on its tail. Apparently, it boosts "charm" HAHA Coincidentally, we'll be ushering in the new year in less than 6 hours. 2008 may have been good for some, bad for others. I personally thought my year was awesome.
Happy New Year in advance, peeps! A night of junk food, silly conversations, games and laughter. Listening to: Sweet emotion - Aerosmith |

Roti anaconda is this super huge/long roti tisu (about a table long) that can be shared. We had blur pictures taken at Nasmir, but I won't be able to get them anytime soon. Haha, it's ok.
